The book I am reading is "Chocolate Touch" the theme of this book is "lying" is because the main character John Midas lied to his mother. He said that he was not going to eat chocolate again after he had went to the doctors office and the doctor gave him a prescription called "Tonic" for his heath. John hated taking his medicine ,but it became no problem after he ate that magical peace of chocolate. John had lied to his mother also because she told him not to stop taking his classmates candy. When John went back to the candy store he gave the old man another coin with the picture of a fat boy , also the initials JM, for a chocolate and when he got home he hid it under his bed. When his mom finished giving him the tonic he ate the chocolate.

I wouldn't have went back for more candy because my mom would go looking something in my room and would find it.

The book I'm reading is the "Chocolate Touch". The book is good so far because the theme of the part I read was about forgetting. I think him forgetting about eat vegetable because ever since the man that was working at counter gave the main character, John Midas chocolate. The man at the counter said this is the best chocolate in the world, he probably said that to John because he meant it was magic chocolate. I get this idea because when he put something in his mouth it turns to chocolate, for example it was his friend Susan's "Half Dollar Coin" that her dad gave her for her birthday; he ate it because he didn't think it was real so she asked him to bite the coin and it ended up turning into chocolate, then she walked away crying with a crescent shaped coin.

I think that if I was to be in a situation like that i would have freaked out, when doctor can out with a cure for it I my have probably would have went back to the store.

The book I'm reading is "Road to Memphis" . The main theme of this chapter is friendship. The main theme is friendship, know this because the name of chapter two gave it away "Friendship", even if it didn't say friendship; I would know that this is the theme because in this chapter Stacey, Cassie, Moe, and Willie,also the main character had been talking about going to college. Then Moe, his dad, and the rest of the friends were talking about Moe having a car and where they going to keep it.

If I had been Moe I would have ask for each person to contribute some money because they were telling him want he should do with him money. Also I have a connection between the tittle and the book. The book talks about going to college and they may all be going to a college in Memphis.

The book I'm reading is"The Road to Memphis". The main theme of this chapter is about not having patience. I know that this is the main idea because the narrator was being impatient when he and his brothers Christopher-John, and Little Man were waiting for their older brother Stacy, at the bus stop. The narrator was being like that because it was a hot day and they had waiting there for about an hour. Even though he was going to be happy to see, Stacy the bus was taking to long. His brother Christopher-John was getting very frustrated because he couldn't stand people always complained. The narrator was being selfish because he wasn't worried about his brother.
I would have started walking toward where the bus should have been coming from to make sure my brother was okay even though it was hot or dangerous. I would have been mad when the bus came because the wake was to long.
