The Terminator: The Silent Fall

Chapter 1

On Tuesday, February 15, 2030 five weird brothers were born, their names were James, Brian, Robert, William, and Joseph. A woman by the name of Jennifer Elis Einstein gave birth to quintuplet (five) boys that were born with metal bones. Scientists were amazed that they have metal bones and thought they were abnormal. People were thinking they were only going to live for 3 months.

11 YEARS YEARS LATER…

The brothers are still living. They are 11 years old and live in a camp for military training in New Jersey out in the woods. The training is for a war that might possibly happen very soon. The government forced them to do this or they would be killed. Their mother committed suicide because she didn’t want her sons in this army. So she killed herself and their father was executed a few months ago because he was using illegal chemicals. So now they are orphans and would have to be raised by soldiers. Their older sister Katherine was sent to Florida to a foster home with nineteen other children. She is 15 years old and is the oldest child in the orphanage. They all wake up at 4:30am and end their day at 6pm. From 3pm to 6pm they split up in to 5 groups. From 6pm to 8pm they play paintball.

Brian is in a group on speed and using knives and his teeth because of his speed in being part man part vampire. James’ group focuses on training to control wild animals and getting transformed into an animal quickly. Joseph is the nature controller and he has to be able to float on sand and vines and other stuff. William is craft worker and he makes weapons. The best part is that he is an air-bender and can fly. The army is making these army iron suits based on the movie Iron Man. One of the powers they share is their strength. The word around the training center was that if they tried and were big enough they could all work together to hold the world in the palms of their hands.

The boys always get into arguments about how they want a normal life style and want their parents back. One day James hit Brian in the head when Brian had a major headache which caused them to have fist fight in their room. James that slaps him on the back of the headache “Stop pouting like a little girl” said James. Brian replies “I’m not I the mood BIG FOOT, so I need you to leave me alone and back up out of my face”. Brian had the teeth and James had the claws of a wolf. James thinks he’s so tough and gets in Brian’s ear and starts yelling “Talk to me like that one more time and I will shove an AK47 down your throat”. Everyone witnessed James grab Brian and he flew four feet in the air before he hit the wall. Everyone thought he was playing dead because he laid on the floor for several minutes without moving and for medical attention. The doctors checked his vital signs and he was alive. They said no he was just unconscious and eventually he woke up. James was in shock that he knocked his brother out and he was dead.

The book I am reading is “Bridge to Terabithia” by Katherine Paterson”. The part of the book I read was when Leslie and Jesse started to really get a close connection. Jesse would always be king of Terabithia and Leslie was queen of Terabithia. Then for Christmas Leslie gave him a pack of art supply, and he gave her a nice little dog who they have called PT. Also for Christmas he gave Joyce Ann a head- band which she would blame Santa Clause for, May Belle got a paper dolls. Jesse and Leslie are growing a closer relationship.

At after Jess had broke a 7th’s grader heart because of a note, at recess Jess and Leslie heard her crying because the 7th’s dad beats her and she had told her friends and her friends told everyone which was a rule at the school no matter what happens at home never rat your parents out. In the book Jesse’s mom doesn’t like Leslie because she dresses in jeans always. The father doesn’t like her because he thinks she is probably turning his only son into a woman. Jess always felt sorry for PT because Leslie’s father always kick him out on the street to stay out there over night. I think Jess is mad at May Bell because she follow him and Leslie to Terabithia.

The book I am reading is “Bridge to Terabithia” by Katherine Paterson. So for this book is good I got up to the part when Jess and Leslie had gone into the wood were Jess didn’t wouldn’t to go to deep into. Jess was scared because it reminded him of the bottom of the ocean (Jess was scared of the sea, ocean, or lakes). The only reason Jess and Leslie got to hangout was because bride May Belle to say Jess was at the Burkes house. They bride her with just paper dolls to not tell momma Jess was with a girl.

Jess and the other younger boys stopped running at recess because of Leslie after she won the heat. The boy stopped just playing “King of the Mountain”, Leslie had officially ended lower grade boy racing at recess. She also became the teacher’s pet with her excellent and outstanding writing; which Jess thought wasn’t a good idea to do at Lark Creek. Then there was a homework assignment that got her teased because she didn’t have a TV; also thought she shouldn’t have said she could have used his TV. Then I also learn that Leslie’s family moved to a poor area because they thought they were taking money for grannit. The chapter I learned a lot about Leslie and her life, also amagination.

The "Bridge to Terabithia" by Katherine Paterson. The part of the book I read was when Jess met a girl that moved across the street. Her name was Leslie Burke, she came across the street and started talking to Jess, he had the feel that she liked him. Then he walked away to milk the cow. Earlier on in the chapter him sister, May Belle, said that she wished that the girl across the street was seven because she needed some one to play with so Jess thought that wouldn't be happy.

I think that Jess' life is hard. It seems hard because he is the only boy of four girls. I think that it is also hard because he has to do all the work.

1. The right that I thought was most important was “Receive a written copy of the school’s policies and procedures, including the discipline code and the New York City Department of Education Bill of Student Rights and Responsibilities, early in the school year or upon admission to the school during the school year”.

2. This student right is surprising because I didn’t know high School education was given to people at the highest age of 21 “Attend school and receive a free public school education from kindergarten to age 21 or receipt of a high school diploma, whichever comes first, as provided by law; students who have been determined to be English Language Learners are entitled to bilingual education or English as a second language program as provided by law; students with disabilities who have been determined to be in need of special education are entitled to a free appropriate public education from age 3 until age 21, as provided by law.”

3. No, I don’t think my right are protect FDA because of the High School and some of the classroom prosegers my teachers classrooms.

The book I am reading is called “The Secret to Teen Power” by Paul Harrington. This book is like a book for solving problems you may come across, or maybe problems you didn’t solve that well. This book is also a book of thinking then solving mentally the strategy. So the chapter I read was called “Powerful Processes: Secret Power Plays”. In this part of the book it talked about gratitude and how teens always say thank- you and please. And when you don’t mean it so that we are ingrate for our family, classmates, teachers, even our best friends.

Then in my book they gave examples of things you are grateful for: god, family, clothes and etcetera. I did not finish this part and I can’t wait to finish it.

The book I am reading is called “The Secret: To Teen Power” by Paul Harrington. I decide to read this book because it was a new book that my mom brought me from Barns and Noble. So I thought since I was about 1 year away from being a teen I should read it so it can give me advise. A quote that I like is about the book it. The quote said that this book lets you “Be all you can be and achieve all you can achieve”. Then in chapter two the book started talking about Shane Gould, the lesson learned was to never sweat someone else winning gold and to always go for yours.

Also a paragraph or three that talks about that the lesson learned in his story was that the reflection of your life is a reflection of your vibe. Also another good quote is “We are the music- markers, And we are the dreamers of dreams “- Arthur O’ Shaughnessy a quote from Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. I would give this book 90% out of 100%.

The book I am reading is Called "Holes" by Louis Sachar. So far I like like this book it seems to interest me. I give this book two thumbs up. Today I have read that Stanley gets sent to Camp Green Lake. Camp Green Lake is a camp for young teens. The camp is only for boys, at this camp they dig holes in order to find a object that has not been notified in the book, but when they find an object they are to give it to the object to the warden.

There was no one on the bus when Stanley was on his way to the camp except the guard who was holding a rifle laid across his lap. Stanley was seated in the last row with hand cuffs on. Camp Green Lake was a lake over one hundred and it was the biggest land in Texis now it was just dry waste land. Stanley also was named Caveman as a nick name that mean that he was welcomed and accepted as a friend to the people in his cabin. He also mad Zero talk. Zero was the boy that got Stanley caught but Zero got in the camp first. Zero got his named from him never talking.

The I am reading is called "Swindle" by Gordon Korman. This book is a good book so far but not the best I have read. If I had to do a survey I would give this book a thumbs up and one down or a 6/10. so far I have read from chapter 4 to chapter 9. Today I read that this boy named Luther got hold of what Griffin, Savannah, and Ben were do in S. Wendell Palomino house. So Luther was held hostage and then he threaded them to let him go or else he would tell ever one what was going on in there.

The one thing I like about this book is that it shows notes from Griffin notebook in the book I am reading, its like a book inside of a book. In his notes he writes:

Major Obstacles
(i) Padlocked GATE
(ii)7- foot- high FENCE

I think that this is like the best part of the book because it show the Griffin is ready it get his card back. Also this shows that his first step is be organized and I like that.

Today the book I read was "Nelson Mandela: Voice of Freedom" by Libby Hughes. I read this book because it was just gathering dust on my book-shelf and I wanted to gather more knowledge on Mr. Mandela's life. Also because I read the blurb and it reads "Let us join hands with all people of conscience throughout the world... Let justice triumph without delay. Blessed are the peacemakers."- Nelson Mandela. This quote made me think that when I read this book it won't only tell me just about his life, but it will explain the truggles of everyone in segration.

Something I learned was that Nelson Mandela was released from jail in Cape Town, South Africa. He went to jail because he was outspoken and showed militant resistance to the racial segregation in South Africa. He was happy that he could walk out of jail 27 years later with his wife by his side, he was about 44 or 45 when he was arrested and 71 when he was released from prison. Nelson Mandela was born on July 18, 1918 in Mvezo, South Africa along the Umbashe River which flows into the Indian Ocean. His mother's name was Nosekeni Fanny and his father's name was Mphakanyiswa Gadla(Henry Mandela). He did have the right to say speek the truth because he believed that blacks should have the same rights as white and segragation sould stop and all people should join hands.

The book I am reading is called "Swindle" by Gordon Korman. Today I read from chapter 4 to chapter 10 and these chapters were funny just like chapters 1-4. One of the funny parts was when Savannah started talking weird she was talking about "a miserable waste of dog food, I've shown you nothing but kindness. You don't deserve rabies, you should get in a rock and fly to Alpha Centauri. Evil soulless ill- tempered psychopathic canine!" Then Griffin and Ben were looking shocked at her because of what she said. This was funny because i could just picture how Ben, Griffin, and Savannah looked when they were standing there. I pictured the a image in my mind the same way as the book described it with Ben grabbing her and she tugs away from him and starts speaking weirdly. Then Griffin and Ben look at her weirdly like what are you talking about.

I think another part that was good, but not as funny as the first one I talked about. This part was on page 85 when Griffin was talking adout Ben and how he was the smallest 6th grader. Also how Ben would be able to sweeze into a tiny space. Ben didn't care because he would say "no pain no game, this is for million dollars." Griffin knew the money was fake and so did Ben. It was to help the Bings keep their house.

The book I am reading is called "A Chet Gecko Mystery: The Mystery of Mr. Nice " by Bruce Hale. Today I finished reading this book and at the end of the book Principal Zero was deciding whether there should be school during their school break. The principal had this idea because of the food fight that happened during the lunch period and no one would confess to starting the food fight. Soon after Chet Gecko, Natalie (Chet Gecko's side-kick), cops, the froggers and Principal Zero planned a PTA meeting to discuss whether the students should attend school during the break. The parents on the PTA committee and Principal Zero decided that the school will have a break and the students would remain out of school because Chet found the person, Emerson Hicky, who started the food-fight.

When I read the end of the book I thought it would have ended with something more interesting other than Chet catching the bad guys and going home. I would have liked it to end with Emerson running away so that he wouldn't get caught by Chet Gecko and more action involved between Chet and Emerson.

Wednesday, February 3, 2010

I wanted to stay and help clean up the leftovers, but lunch would have to wait. Natalie tugged me out the door. "Come on," she said. We stopped outside the principal's office and ducked behind the bushes. "Watch this mockingbird go to work" said Natalie. She buzzed like an office intercom. "Principal Zero, come quick!" said Natalie in Maggie Crow's voice. "There's a food fight in the cafeteria!" Whoever he was, he still acted like a principal. The huge cat staggered out the door, tugging on some loose skin at his neck, waddling off as fast as he could go. "Oh, the waste!" moaned principal Zero. I smirked. "He has quite a waist himself." The book I'm reading is "A Chet Gecko Mystery: The Mystery of Mr. Nice" by Bruce Hale. I think millions of people may have read this book because in 2007 and 2008 it was the best saling kids book. Also I think that alot of people have read it because almost every one chose this book when we did book talks. I would recommend this book to any one because first it is exciting, second is that it is like a normal school day but just as animals, and third it makes you think 'Sould he have done that? What would I do if i were him?'. A book I would like to read is a book called "A Child Named It". This book is not connect to the Chet Gecko series at all this, is a book I have been looking for in the class library to read. I found out about this book through a 7th grader in my school they were talking about it and what it was about. I think I have read 17 book through out this school year.

Byron the juvenile delinquent is a bad brother but has a nice side. Byron is a bad brother because of the way he treats his brother, Kenny and sister, Joetta. I think Byron has a good and bad side because everyone has a good and bad side but Byron only chooses to act one way which is bad to certain people. He is especially mean to mean and Kenny because they are younger than he is.

Byron is a bad brother and influence on Joetta and Kenny. On page 82 Byron cursed at Kenny for talking. Byron said “I thought I told your little jive a--- to shut the h--l up and enjoy the d—mn cookie. Now do it.” Kenny probably felt Byron wasn’t the best brother. On page 17, Byron kissed the car mirror and his lips got stuck on the mirror. His mom was worried and started screaming to their father, Walter, saying “You gotta get this boy to the hospital.” This proves that he has a caring family but he is tired of being around them all of the time. Perhaps Byron likes to impress his friends by trying to be cool.

Although Byron has a good and nice side, Kenny describes Byron as stiff and scared to death of his mother who is about to set Byron on fire after she put Vaseline on him. This shows that he is afraid of one person which is his mother so she needs to teach him to do his best not to scare people younger than him. Their mother plays a mom and part-time dad in their life because their father is always at work. Maybe Byron needs to be around his father more so there is a father figure in his life. Byron can also consider making new friends that are focused on better things than Buphead. Buphead is Byron’s friend and he may be a bad influence because he tells Byron to do mean things.

If I were Byron’s parents I would have to send him to jail to show him where he doesn’t want to end up or maybe at a boot camp for troubled teens. Byron can be a horrible role model for Kenny by cursing at him and treating him mean. If I was Byron I would try to change everyone’s opinion on my behavior by acting with self control and being a better older brother to Kenny and Joetta. This family has a lot of issues besides Byron and they can fix their problems by being more considerate and kind to each other. Byron should change his behavior before his loses his family’s trust.

A non- fiction book I read was the book "YES WE CAN", a biograph of Barack Obama by Garen Thomas. This book was published in July 2008 a fue months into his election champaign and before he was President Elect on November 4, 2008. This book talks about how he was home schooled and his mom would wake him up at about 3:00 am and would teach him until 9:00 am or sometimes 11:00 am. Also how when his fahter died in a car cash. Then at the end of his year in high school his mother died of cancer. Also how he went to three colleges (Harvard Law School, Columbia University, and Occidental College). This book also talked about him being Senator of Illinois. The last thing it talked book was Michelle Obama and their two daughters, also his road to become President of the United States.

I read this book because I was forced by mom, but as I got in to the I read it because Barack Obama had a hard life his dad died and his mom didn't have alot of money to go to a good elementry school. I like non- fiction better because it has alot of adventure and crazy events ,but that could really happen. I would like to read Caribeania pioneer, sings, and sports players I think we should read about the Caribeans history and famous people because they arent't be told.

In 2010 I don't have hope for this year to be good. I first don't have hope because 2009 hasn't shown me that something good is going to happen, this year I am I am just turning 12 there's nothing special about that. I also think that Barack Obama is not go to do anything about the economy, he did a good job on health care now all we need i to do now is fix the economy and Global Warning, then the world will be one big happy place to live. I also think this year doesn't have a good out look because one of the greatest performers in the history of R&B and Pop. I think that This year for me is going to be special, I plan on not being in trouble all of the time. I am also going to try to get my grade average up in each class.

2010 is going to be good for me, I don"t know if it is going to change for some one else but for me I want a fresh start so i can say: This I the New and Improve CHASE REED of 2010. This year I want to be more successful, because of different motivations, feel so ambitious, I can make anything possible. This year I hope there is less violence. I also hope for the troops in war win and come home as soon as possible. I also hope people decide finally that hate verses hate equals hate. Everyone says it but never apply it to them self. I also hope the Cleveland Cavalier beats ht Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Finals if they make it.

The book I am reading is called "Dairy of a Wimpy Kid: Greg Heffley's Journal" this book is funny and is good its like the book was specially made for me. This book probably screaming my name saying "Chase come to me. Read me I am the the best book you will ever find." Now that I have read the book I am alreadly planning on reading every book in that series. In the book the funniest part was when he was excited to be sitting between two girls and they were passing notes to each and they were saying how much he was a dork. He also said that on the first day of school be early so that you can have a good perminate seat. At the beggining was also funny when he was explaining why he had the word "Dairy" on the front of the book.

I think that Jeff Kinney may not have been a dork but he is to shy and doesn't care about first impreesion. If I were Kenny I would even know it to late to go from dork to cool. Maybe he should get a trainer to train him to out run Bryce so he could be cool for once.
